Snow!
Jy's snowman he made with neighbour friends |
R had friends over to bake:
The children love their (fake) penny boards and it's so great that their friends have them too- they love whizzing around our local park on them:
Our local park: I managed a few minutes sitting by myself about to read my book when two ladies came and told me to sit with them- I couldn't possibly be on my own! One of those things I both love and dislike about the culture here!
There's been a propane gas crisis in the region due to a political dispute it appears.
Suffice to say we've been cold without gas and with limited electricity, but thankful our gas didn't run out for our cooker:
We drove out to visit friends in the mountains and enjoyed some stops off to play in the snow on the way there:
R taught her friend how to do cross-stitch. it's a great craft to teach to girls:
A busy evening of activities: backgammon, Othello, cross-stitch, knitting, history lessons, drinking tea and chatting! |
We're enjoying our woodburner:
The dam:
The girls have been working on their tiny bedroom-
they've made it look so pretty:
Jy and L share a bedroom and very kind friends got it painted for us while we were back in the UK. We also inherited a really super-duper bed from another expat family who were leaving the country:
