Locals love to go on "snow picnics" and this year they have felt more popular than ever. We thought we'd join the craze and headed out into the mountains and found a brilliant place with really deep snow drifts. It was perfect for a bit of sledging on a sack, snowman-building and socialising with another family there who insisted on feeding us hot, very sweet tea brewed on their fire. On the way back home we stopped off for more tea and beans- my favourite thing here!
