Marmalade

We went to see friends who live in a house surrounded by orange trees. They insisted we pick a load. I wasn't too sure what to do with them but then had a brainwave/crazily stupid idea, which was to make marmalade! I'd never attempted it before and felt like now I'm in my 40s it's about time I learnt. So we had a Marmalade Making Lesson as part of school. I'm pleased to hear there's no GCSE in it because we would defintiely get an F. It was a bit of a disaster on the first attempt (I thought I'd put in less sugar to make it healthier- big mistake), but second attempt was better. I'm not sure I'll be rushing to make more. Maybe when I hit 50.
