Counting by 7s: Book Review

Counting by 7s

Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan

I don't know when we last read a book together which the children desperately did not want to come to an end. This was the case with this book. It really is brilliant, one of the best books we've read for a while. We all feel a bit bereft now we've finished. It's about a 12 year old girl called Willow who is a bit of a genius and doesn't really fit in at school. After her parents are killed in a car crash, Willow has to find for herself a surrogate family. The characters, especially Willow, are so likeable and believable (despite their many oddities) and you really find yourself getting emotionally involved in their lives.
