The Goldfish Boy: Book Review

Product DetailsI came across this book on Amazon and thought it looked interesting to read to the children as their daily read-aloud which we do together half way through the school morning. And am I glad I did. We all loved it and the children loved discussing it together. It's about Matthew, a 13 year old boy with obsessive compulsive disorder and how this massively affects his life. Within this plot is another one which drives the book on- the disappearance of Matthew's neighbour- a little toddler. The characterisation is brilliant, we really got involved with the characters and felt very strongly for them. It does have a few instances of bad language, which- as I was reading it to them- I was able to just miss out.
