It was lovely today to escape the city and drive into the mountains with our neighbours who we always enjoy going on picnics with. We stopped at a river, ate delicious food, the children got wet and muddy, we felt our first drops of rain, we discovered new places and the children made new friends. A not so pleasant recurring theme of the day however, was the increasingly normal and aggressive questioning, "Why is your country not helping us? Why has the West sold us out?" I find it more and more difficult to answer and handle well.
