Pocahontas

We have been learning about Pocahontas in history (the true story, not the Disney fiction!).

The activity set was decorating Pocahontas' wedding cake!

We're very fortunate to have karate as part of our lives.
One of the many benefits is that we get to have a date night on Saturdays for a couple of hours!
This week we enjoyed eating fish!

Party at school to celebrate the end of the year.
Yes that wasn't a typo- school ended in April this year (due to Ramadan and elections in May),
having only started in October (due to the referendum).

Our vine is very popular with the neighbours. They pick the leaves to make dolme (stuffed vine leaves).

Election posters fill the streets...

...and some candidates have even got their names in lights on the mountains.
