Picnic

Today we went on possibly the funnest picnic of our time here. It was with a family we've got to know through the children's karate club and their many relatives. The setting was stunning- rolling green fields with mountains for a backdrop. It was a beautifully sunny, warm day. There were lots of very friendly people to get to know. There was a lot of laughter, good food and impressive dancing. I even got to have an interesting discussion about the Reformation which is not a normal topic of conversation for  me here! And the best and most unusual part of the day was that from start to finish we played non-stop games: cards, volleyball, number games, shabatee (a funny, slightly random local game), knocking over the drinks cans then hitting each other with the ball game etc etc.

K & her friend P were inseparable all day
