On Saturday the children had their first ever karate exam. It was quite an experience! It lasted for 5 hours which gave me ample time to get to know quite a few of the mums. That's really unusual here- there's no school gate culture and the dads do the karate pick-ups generally so I hardly ever get to meet the mums. Karate has been such a huge blessing for getting to know a lot more families and we love seeing how much the children enjoy it and are making new friends.
