Christian Resources for Children

I'm always very grateful when I get recommendations for good Christian resources for our children. So I've been gradually putting together some of our favourites in case that would be a help to anyone. Please let me know any you've found!

Exploring the Bible: A Bible Reading Plan for Kids
Bible overview, daily Bible reading book for L (11) & Jy (9)
Each day is a very short text so they do
more of their own Bible reading too.
This Changes Everything: How the Gospel Transforms the Teen Years
One for R (13)
Enough!
R loves Helen Roseveare's writings
Count it All Joy

Where Dolphins Race with Rainbows (Tales of Karensa) by Cullop, Jean (2000) Paperback
R&L loved this series when they read them a few years ago.
They are allegories.
Rainbow Garden
There are so many great fiction books by Patricia St John
which L&R really enjoy (as did I when I was their age!)
Luke: Carry Your Cross by Ken Moser
R enjoyed this Bible study series
to study Ephesians.
More Here

A Young Person's Guide to Knowing God
We sometimes read this together for family worship time

Florence Young: Mission Accomplished (Christian Heroes: Then & Now)
L particularly loves this series of biographies

Torchlighters Heroes of Faith
We all love these DVDs.
They are really good quality animations-
biographies of all sorts of people.
Some of the DVDs have documentaries too.
You can find more information and activities about the people here:

                                                                    Torchlighters

The Radical Book for Kids: Exploring the Roots and Shoots of Faith
This is a fun book I read to the children-
packed to the brim with interesting things.
