We were given The Radical Book for Kids (by Champ Thornton, New Growth Press) for Christmas by some very kind friends and it has been a massive hit in our house already. It's the kind of book that, if left sitting around, the children immediately gravitate to and dip in and read for themselves. I've started reading a chapter to them to start the day and they are so engaged by what I'm reading. I'm so excited to have this! (Even K, aged 5, loves it and talks all about it.) Here's the description from the pulisher's website:
The Radical Book for Kids is a fun-filled explorer’s guide to the Bible, church history, and life for children eight and up. Vibrantly illustrated and chock-full of fun facts and ideas, this interactive book competes with screen time by stimulating children’s natural curiosity and sense of adventure. Get your kids reading again while communicating big truths about life!
