J turned 40 just after Christmas. We had friends over for dinner; the woodburner playing a central role in heating us all up and melting marshmallows, bananas and chocolate.

I knitted this 'teddy' for J (appropriate for a 40th don't you think?),
although it has since been called deformed and Frankenstein.
 L made him a paper dolls house.

The children each wanted to make a cake for him so we had 4. Each reperesenting one of his interests:

K&R: a dirt and worm pudding for J's love of composting. R also made Scarabble cupcakes.

L made a chicken!
