Newroz is the spring holiday/new year celebrations from 21-23 March. Families leave the city to enjoy picnics in the beautiful countryside. This year was wet and cold but we still had fun. On day one we went with our Syrian friends. We set up camp in a muddy field, cooked, ate, danced, chatted, played volleyball and cards, flew kites, climbed trees to rescue those kites then went home to get warm!
