Hope

It really encouraged me to read these words this morning:



I've been finding it frustrating recently, getting into quite a few discussions about my faith, but feeling like I'm not getting anywhere. These words have shown me to put more time into explaining the "beautiful reasons for my hope in Jesus", rather than feeling like I'm on the defensive. First I need to write them down which will be a joyful exercise!

This quote, along the same lines, by C.H. Spurgeon is wonderful too:

The Word of God is like a lion. 

You don’t have to defend a lion. 

All you have to do is let the lion loose, 

and the lion will defend itself.
